Berichten over en beelden van gammele bootjes met duizenden vluchtelingen naar en in Europa en koortsachtig EU overleg tussen de Europese leiders domineren nog altijd het nieuws.
Maar hoe beoordeelt de IND (de geloofwaardigheid) van asielverzoeken?
Er zijn verschillende werkwijzen -al dan niet al jurisprudentieel goedgekeurd- voor de afzonderlijke asielmotieven. Zo verschilt de beoordeling van een (gesteld) homoseksueel of bekeerde van de beoordeling van een vluchteling die aangeeft te vrezen voor besnijdenis, of bedreiging met geweld door bijvoorbeeld de Taliban/Al-Shabaab/IS.
